  Kraig Otani, P.E.

  Owner & Electrical Engineer

  Kraig is a licensed electrical engineer with extensive consulting experience in Hawaiʻi and founded Kraig K. Otani & Associates in 2019. He leads the firm while remaining actively involved in project planning, design, management, and client coordination. His experience spans water and wastewater facilities, SCADA, power distribution, standby power, lighting, traffic signals, educational and institutional facilities, and other electrical infrastructure throughout Hawaiʻi.

  Sey Ito Jr., P.E., RCDD

  Project Manager

  Sey is a licensed electrical engineer and BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer with experience leading projects from design development through construction. His background includes electrical and telecommunications systems for government, commercial, educational, residential, and wastewater facilities. He brings particular experience in site electrical distribution, standby generator systems, design-build projects, and master planning, and works closely with clients and project teams to coordinate successful project delivery.

  Bryce Kanemura, P.E.

  Project Manager

  Bryce is a licensed electrical engineer with more than 15 years of experience across a broad range of electrical infrastructure and facility projects. His work includes well and booster pumping stations, wastewater pumping stations, SCADA systems, electrical distribution, utility relocations and extensions, standby power, roadway and site lighting, airfield lighting, and institutional facilities. At KOA, Bryce brings strong technical experience to the management and delivery of complex electrical projects.

  Joel Antonio

  Electrical Engineer

  Joel is an electrical engineer who earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa after beginning his studies at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College. His varied professional background brought him to KOA with a strong desire to continue learning, grow as an engineer, and contribute to work that makes a positive difference. He supports the firm’s electrical engineering projects while continuing to build his technical and project experience.

  Evan Shishido

  Electrical Engineer

  Evan earned his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University before returning home to Hawaiʻi to begin his engineering career with KOA. He has contributed to electrical designs for well and booster pumping stations, fire alarm system replacements, parking lot lighting, and worker screening facilities. Evan continues to broaden his technical experience while supporting projects that serve communities throughout Hawaiʻi.

  Matthew Fujikami

  Electrical Engineer

  Matthew earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He joined KOA to continue developing his technical skills while contributing to projects that benefit the community. Matthew brings a strong commitment to learning and professional growth as he builds his engineering experience alongside the KOA team.

  Billy Roy Dela Rita

  CAD Manager / Electrical Engineer

  Billy is an electrical engineer with more than 12 years of experience in electrical design, engineering, and construction coordination. His background includes power distribution, lighting, construction documentation, and code compliance across commercial, residential, institutional, hospitality, and public-sector projects. At KOA, Billy combines his engineering experience with responsibility for improving CAD standards, design workflows, drafting efficiency, and drawing quality while also supporting the electrical design and delivery of the firm’s projects.

  Michele Higa

  Business Operations Coordinator

  Michele brings experience in contract and project administration to her role as KOA’s Business Operations Coordinator. She supports the firm’s day-to-day operations through contract administration, invoicing, payment tracking, project records, insurance compliance, and subconsultant agreements. Her work helps keep the administrative side of KOA’s projects organized from contract execution through billing and supports the engineering team in keeping projects moving efficiently.
