Kraig Otani, P.E.

Owner & Electrical Engineer

Kraig is a local boy who grew up farming in Kula on the island of Maui. After graduating from Maui High School, he went on to join the Air National Guard where he was first introduced to electrical circuits and design. It was from that experience that led him to enroll as an electrical engineering major at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). After graduating from UNLV and working in Las Vegas for a few years, he moved back to Hawaii for a job opportunity in Oahu. With twelve years of consulting experience in the State of Hawaii, he then went on to form Kraig K. Otani & Associates, LLC. Serving his clients and community through engineering is the most fulfilling part of his career.

Kraig oversees all aspects of the firm which includes coordinating, planning, designing, managing, and leading electrical projects. He has been involved on a wide variety of projects, including well pumping stations, booster pumping stations, wastewater pumping stations, Supervisory, Control, and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for water and wastewater systems, roadway lighting, parking lot lighting, interior power and lighting, sports lighting, traffic signal systems, correctional facilities, emergency and standby systems, educational facilities, residential, high-rise buildings, and multi-family dwelling projects.

Kraig resides in Honolulu with his beautiful wife and two fun loving daughters. He enjoys meeting new people and learning new things. He finds his joy spending time with his family and friends.

Sey Ito jr., P.E., rcdd

Project Manager

Sey earned his B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is a licensed electrical engineer in the State of Hawaii.  He also holds credentials as a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer. 

Sey manages projects of varying sizes and scope from design development through construction.  He is experienced with electrical, and telecommunications designs in government, commercial, educational, residential, and wastewater treatment facilities.  Notable projects include Punahou School Kosasa Community for Grades 2-5, Honouliuli Wastewater Treatment Plant Secondary Compliance, and Kona International Airport Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Facility.  He has extensive knowledge in site electrical distribution, standby generator systems, design-build projects, and master planning. 

Sey resides in Kaneohe with his loving wife and two children, and enjoys spending time with family, surfing, and being a backyard mechanic with his children.   

bryce kanemura, P.E.

Project Manager

Bryce was born and raised in Honolulu.  He attended Mid-Pacific Institute and then went on to Santa Clara University in California, where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. 

Bryce provides over eleven years of engineering experience where he has been involved in a number of projects including well and booster pumping stations; wastewater pumping stations; Supervisory, Control, and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for water and wastewater systems; primary and secondary distribution; electrical utility relocation/extension; emergency and standby systems; exterior lighting for roadways, highways, recreational facilities, parking areas, commercial buildings; airfield runway and taxiway lighting; educational facilities; industrial facilities; residential buildings; high-rise buildings; institutional buildings; and photovoltaic installations.

villamor gani jr.

Electrical Engineer

Villamor was born and raised in Hilo.  He attended University of Hawaii at Hilo and then went on to University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. 

Villamor provides over 8 years of engineering experience in design and construction. His project experience includes power and telecommunication designs in residential, commercial, medical, educational and wastewater treatment facilities.
